My other half's father does management training, and he sees a lot of useful lessons in Star Trek and others.

I was on a training course a few years ago which was supposed to reinforce team spirit.

They played the "Get that cheese to sickbay!" episode of Voyager. I was the only person in the whole group of 20 people that had seen it, which shocked me.

The exercise after was about handling argumentative and difficult customers. We had to pick an argument with the trainer, and they would demonstrate how to handle the situation... I totally destroyed him, and he hung himself after lunch.

On the plus side; we got to go home early Laughing

OK - bad joke; he didn't actually hang himself... but they never ran the course again Surprised
