http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1136608/

So people, what's the heads up on this? Just saw the trailers and straight away was interested... Peter Jackson at the helm which is usually a good thing. Is this an original story or a re-make? It gets very good ratings from imdb above, which can be a good guide.

Something to do this weekend?

I've seen this already and it's one of the more interesting takes on the alien visitation stories that I've seen.
I'd certainly recommend anyone see this, and you don't need to be a science fiction fan to appreciate what the film actually says, which is what some of the best in science fiction does.
There's a lot to this film but then if you don't see any of the other stuff you can also enjoy it for it's very basic story.
I personally enjoyed it very much. It wasn't what Geekette was expecting but she still managed to enjoy it too.
Go and watch it Rob then come back and let me know what you think of it please.

Like I say, it can be enjoyed both intellectually as well as just for pure entertainment.
Certainly one of the best films I've seen this year, but then I have seen a lot of rubbish. (8+|

Yes Boss!

I loved this film. A really good intelligent sci fi movie. It was originally just a short movie that the director then decided to try as a full length and thought sci fi theme would fit well. He was right.

Really good and one of my favourites of the year so far.
